After two decades of inactivity, I rode a bicycle today, my bicycle. I was told to do some exercising when I get better, and I felt a little better today. We only got the bike yesterday, took the whole of the afternoon before we finally got to bring it home (I will save this for another post).
Roughly an hour of biking, mostly uphills and several rounds around the park and I was panting like a dog in heat. My knees are now aching and my muscles feel like they have been pounded. Let us do this again tomorrow.

Sun Burned and Wiggling
Little P. and her classmates.
I swear the nuns do not screen the music these kids dance to.

Juice Up
Here we go. CNN has an article about the Raspberry Pi. I hope the local media pick it up so that the RasPi gets exposure here in the Philippines. It would be great if computer classes get 1 or 2 of these boards to tinker with.
Why Everybody Wants A Raspberry Pi
2013

Like always, for various reasons, this blog has been thoroughly neglected. Hopefully, I will be in better health come the new year, and also less lazy.
Aside from the blog, the diecast collection also suffers from neglect. Mattel (Matchbox and Hotwheels) releasing crappy castings contributes to this. Johnny Lightning still keeps me interested, with all the VW T2s they churn out.
The Kool Kombi is a new HW casting for 2013, and should be on every want list. It is out in other countries now but I have yet to see it locally. (I might not see it on the pegs 'cause of hoarders and speculators.)

Having a piece of Pi, Raspberry Pi.
It has been more than 2 weeks since I got my Raspberry Pi. I have not been able to do much with it, except for the standard- installing XBMC and activating Airplay so that I can stream stuff ftom the iPad to the TV.
Hopefully I can acquire a keyboard and a mouse to do some minor coding in both Python and C++ using Geany under Debian.
Happy fat Raspberry Pi eater here.

LEGO: Spaced out!

Here is another LEGO Activity Book that comes with a couple of minifigures.
LEGO City: Meteor Shower; ISBN13: 9780723270522
It is set for a January 2013 release but is available for preorder now from most popular online bookstores. Looks like it will come with a boy and an astronaut. Another good buy. Would have been a lot better if came with a robot though.

One Hundred and Ten

I have been messing with my film cameras again. A week ago, I went on a "photowalk" with Little P. and we ended up finishing 1 roll on the Nickelodeon Photoblaster. Aside from the NP, we also had with us my beloved Vivitar UWS and the Vivitar IC100. We did not have a 110 camera with us as the films I ordered did not arrive on time. But, they are here now, and the Matapora is sure to join the next 'walk.
Looks like 110 is alive again. A couple of weeks after I ordered an Ikimono camera Fukkatsu suddenly popped out on Flickr. Just check the load from Four Corner Store, all fresh.
My lowfi beauties are finally getting fed!!
